Vadim Viktorovich Shiller

Schiller Vadim Viktorovich, born in August 26, 1975, citizen of Russia, Candidate of Sciences in History, Associate Professor. In 2001, he graduated from the Kemerovo State University with a degree in History, qualification «Historian, Teacher». In 2004, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Sciences in History on the topic «Ethno-Confessional Interaction in the Kemerovo Region at the End of the 19th–20th Centuries (Sources and Methods of Study)» in the specialty 07.00.09 - 07.00.09 «Historiography, Source Study and Methods of Historical Research». In 2021, he received the academic title of associate professor in the specialty «National History». In 2023, he completed the professional retraining program «Theology: Interreligious Interaction in a Multicultural Society» with the qualification «Theologian». Total work experience in the specialty is 20 years.

Schiller V. V. is the author of more than 80 scientific publications, including monographs and articles devoted to the problems of information counteraction to the ideology of terrorism and extremism, diagnosis and prevention of destructive attitudes and manifestations among youth, ethno-confessional interaction, relations between religious associations and the state, as well as the internal structure and history of individual faiths. Author of the diagnostic and preventive methodology «Regional monitoring of destructive attitudes and manifestations among young people» tested since 2015 in a number of regions of the Siberian, Ural and North-Western Federal Districts.

Schiller V. V.  is a member of the Public Chamber of the Kemerovo Region-Kuzbass, an expert of the Expert Council for State Religious Expertise under the Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo Region, a member of the Interfaith Council under the Governor of the Kemerovo Region-Kuzbass, a member of the Council for Nationalities Affairs under the Governor of the Kemerovo Region-Kuzbass, a member of Public Council of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kemerovo Region-Kuzbass. In 2023 he was awarded the regional medal «Alexey Leonov».
