Abstract

In the eighties of the last century, there was an active reform of the health care system. The bias was made on the development of primary health care - as a model that makes it possible to ensure the availability of quality medical care for the majority of the population. Preventive direction in health care has become a priority and economically justified, affecting the duration and quality of life. There was a need for specialists who are ready to provide medical care at the primary stage, which stimulated the creation of specialized clinical departments in medical universities. The article presents materials from the archive of the department, memoirs and photographs of employees of different years, reflecting its history of formation and development. The Department of Polyclinic Therapy, Postgraduate Training and Nursing of the Kemerovo State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia has gone its way from a specialized course to the leading graduating department of the university.

Abstract

The study of current models of moral behaviour in Russian public health service is the subject of this paper. Its methodological basis relies on the theory of social action and the fundamental principle of consciousness and behaviour unity. The author undertakes an ethical analysis of medical activity constituents, emphasizing their dependence on the dominant moral values and social norms. The factor of the growing commercialisation in medicine is thoroughly inspected, which comes into conflict with the principles of humanism and mercifulness. As a result of the research, various types and forms of doctors’ and patients’ behaviour are identified and the role of morality in the regulation of both is featured. The author argues against transferring economic schemes to the healthcare sector. What is really decisive here are medical and socio-moral goals and results. The main attention in the study is paid to the models of social behaviour as value-normative complexes determining the attitudes and actions of people. The paper highlights such models of physicians’ moral behavior as paternalistic, contractual, technocratic, as well as models of dominance (with assumptions), compassion, cooperation and service. The conclusion emphasises the necessity to strengthen moral guidelines in medical workers’ professional area and increase the role of social health institutions which establish the moral criteria for evaluating the relevant activity.

Abstract

The subject of the study is the peculiarities of the functioning of English and Russian verbs with a common meaning «to occupy a large space» which are found in the realization of the concept of the limit in space and the fragmentarity of the spatial scene in the structure of the local situation. The linguistic material was obtained by the method of continuous sampling from lexicographic sources and fiction texts, techniques of component, contextual, comparative analysis were used. As a result of the research conducted, the significance of the implication in the meanings of the verbs of the «limit» component is revealed, which provides fragmentation of the reference scene and implements the concept of the limit of the object in space. The structural characteristics of local situation as a linguistic environment in which verbs variably actualize their semantic components at the level of a sentence or text are given. It is noted that the variability of reading the linguistic image ofa fragment of space and objects in it depends on the position of the observer and the direction of view. The author suggests variants of semantic schematization of images with the implication of the limit. The role of different parts of speech in the compensation of the «limit» component in the general semantic volume of the local situation is shown. The novelty is represented by the practical development of a section of the theory of spatial semantics in terms of studying the means of expressing the limit of large objects in space. The author concludes that for the fragmentation of the reference scene and the actualization of the «limit» component, the context of a local situation is necessary and sufficient, in the structure of which, along with the verbs of the studied group, different parts of speech are included, compensating for the concept of limit in the general semantic volume of this local situation.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems of educational and professional adaptation of foreign students. The adaptation of foreign students is an object of multidimensional analysis in the scientific literature. A significant influence on the nature of the process of adaptation among foreign students is exerted by educational motivation, which determines the readiness to obtain the necessary professional knowledge for the implementation of personal professional plans.

The subject of the study is motivation as a leading component of readiness to learn and acquire professional skills, including readiness to master the Russian language. The paper uses an analytical analysis of scientific literature on the designated problem, a diagnostic method for determining the level of proficiency in a non–native language and a comparative method for describing language material.

The educational environment of the university is a system that includes several structural elements: the organization and management of the educational process, technologies used in teaching in the specialty profile, extracurricular educational work, and interaction with other social and educational institutions. The article pays special attention to extracurricular forms of mastering Russian as a foreign language; the importance of socio-cultural activities in general for the process of adaptation and especially for acquiring the necessary communicative skills for professional development is emphasized, since in the process of cultural events, students are in a real communicative context when the role of perceptual thinking activity increases.

The article emphasizes the importance of listening as a multidimensional form of educational work when learning a foreign language at the initial stage of its development. A wellthought-out system of extracurricular forms of work on learning Russian as a foreign language helps to harmonize the initial stage of adaptation, thereby maintaining positive motivation.

The results of the study can be used in the course of learning Russian as a non-native language in various universities.
